Coach

A very cheap alternative to car hire. The following is taken from http://www.rede-expressos.pt/ which is in Portuguese. you would need to get to the bus terminal from the airport which would cost about 10 Euros from the airport.

Rail

It is possible to travel by train to Sao Martiho do Porto but this take approximately 2 1/2 -3 hours from Lisbon and 3-4 hours from Porto and involves several changes.
